Fixed my PS4 disc drive with a simple rubber band trick

My PS4 kept spitting discs back out, and after watching a 3 minute YouTube video I found that the rubber band inside the eject mechanism had stretched out. I swapped in a thicker band from a hardware kit for $2 and it's been working perfectly for 2 months now. Has anyone else tried this or found a better fix for optical drive issues?

Dude that rubber band trick saved my bacon too lol. My launch PS4 started doing the same thing last year, swapping out that little band for a slightly thicker one from a multi-pack I had lying around fixed it instantly. It's wild how something so cheap and simple can bring a whole console back to life, I was dreading having to buy a new drive or something.
