Fried a motherboard by forgetting to unplug the power supply first
Was swapping out a fan on my PS4 in the living room last Tuesday and totally spaced on flipping the switch on the back. Now I've got a paperweight and a story to tell, anyone else have a 'stupid moment' that cost them a console?

You really think yanking the plug makes that big of a difference? I've done plenty of console repairs with the power cord still in and never had a problem. Seems like maybe the board was already on its way out if a little static or a missed switch took it down.

Huh, honestly that one's on you for not double checking first. Takes two seconds to pull the plug before messing with anything inside.
