Hit 100 hours on my PS4 and it's still running quiet

I started tracking my repair work hours in a notebook six months back, mostly to see if this hobby was worth the time. Just hit 100 total hours logged, and the funny thing is, my own launch PS4 is the star. I opened it up for the first time last week, expecting a dust bunny farm and a jet engine fan. After a full clean, new thermal paste (I used Arctic MX-4), and a careful pad swap, it's been dead silent for a whole week of heavy use. The number made me stop and think, you know? All that practice on other consoles finally paid off for my own gear. Has anyone else had a console that just wouldn't quit after a simple refresh like that?

I get the hope for the best method, but a can of air just moves the dust around inside. For a real clean, you gotta open it up and get the packed dust out of the heatsink fins. My old Xbox One S was choking on it, and blowing through the vents didn't touch the main clog.

Ever try a deep clean on an Xbox One?

Oh man. I opened my old 360 once and found enough dust to start a small garden. The One seems like it would be even worse with all those vents. I just use a can of air and hope for the best now.
