Hit my 50th PS4 thermal paste replacement last night and noticed something weird

I've been fixing up old PS4s for mates on the side and cracked the 50 mark last night. On this last one, the original paste was so crusty it actually pulled up some of the chip's labeling when I cleaned it off. Has anyone else seen that happen or am I just getting unlucky with drier units?

Nah, that's just the cheap factory paste getting old. Normal for dry units.

That "cheap factory paste getting old" reminds me of the time @gavine41's old Honda had paste so crusty it looked like dried toothpaste.
