My GPU bracket saga ended after a $3 roll of zip ties

Picked up a used Xbox One X from a pawn shop for $85 last month. It ran fine for about 2 weeks, then started shutting off during heavy games. Tore it open expecting a dried thermal paste job, but nope, the GPU heatsink bracket had snapped on one corner. The whole thing was sagging sideways. Tried a replacement bracket from Amazon, $14, still wobbled. Then I grabbed a pack of zip ties from the dollar store and looped one around the heatsink and the chassis post. Been playing RDR2 for 6 hours straight and no crash. Has anyone else MacGyvered a console part back into place instead of buying the official replacement? What did you use?
