My PS5 repair turned into a three day saga with a stripped screw

I tried to open it up to fix the fan noise, but one of the security screws on the back panel stripped immediately. I mean, I was using the right bit and everything. Has anyone else gotten a stripped screw out of a PS5 without wrecking the plastic?

That stripped screw is my personal nemesis now.

That stripped screw is the worst. I had to use a tiny flathead and a ton of pressure to get it to bite.

Yeah, the flathead and pressure trick is a lifesaver. I keep a set of those rubber bands for grip in my toolbox now for exactly that. Have you tried that before?
