Noticed a jump in folks saving their consoles from junk piles.

Simple cleaning often does the trick. It's cool to see less waste and more gaming.

Headed for the trash" overstates most console problems, which are often just dirty.

But that's just not true in my experience. I've seen plenty where the issue is a failed power supply or a cracked motherboard trace, things no amount of cleaning can touch. @the_jennifer is right that dirt causes a lot of trouble, but calling most problems simple is a stretch. Some consoles are truly bricked by hardware faults. You can clean the outside all you want and it still won't turn on. It gives people false hope to suggest a can of air is always the fix.
