PSA: Thermal paste brand matters way more than I thought

I always used Arctic Silver on my PS4s until I tried Noctua NT-H2 last month on a loud Pro model. Dropped temps by 8C and the fan barely spins now. What thermal paste have you guys had luck with on older consoles?

Must've been that weird Chinese knockoff paste I used on my old Xbox One a few years back... dried out into a crusty mess after six months and the fan started roaring like a jet engine. Ended up switching to some old Arctic Silver I found in a drawer and it's been smooth sailing ever since.
