Shoutout to the electronics recycling center that saved my PS4

Took my busted PS4 to the local e-waste dropoff in Austin last month because the HDMI port was smashed. The guy running the place said they strip parts before scrapping and offered to let me dig through a bin of motherboards for $5. Ended up finding a working HDMI encoder chip that cost me nothing to practice reballing on - has anyone ever scored good console parts from a recycling center near them?
