That cracked HDMI port advice finally clicked after bricking a board
A guy on a repair subreddit kept telling me to use flux and low-temp solder on HDMI ports, but I thought he was overcomplicating it. Last week I tried reflowing a PS4 port without it and lifted two pads, killed the whole board. Took his method on a spare Xbox One S and it worked first try, port is solid after 3 days of testing. What's your go-to trick for stubborn ports that you ignored at first?
