Update: My PS4's disc drive fix turned into a two-day hunt for a single tiny spring
I had the whole drive apart to fix the eject gear, but a small spring from the disc clamp shot across my workbench and vanished. I spent maybe 14 hours over two days looking for it before I found it stuck to a magnet on my screwdriver handle. Anyone know a good trick for keeping those tiny parts from flying away?

Honestly that's just part of the process for me. I lay out a white towel on my bench, it makes those little demons way easier to spot.

White towels are a lifesaver. I also put a big plastic tub lid on my lap to work inside, so if anything bounces it just hits the sides and drops. That spring hunt sounds like a special kind of torture.
