Wasted $60 on a thermal paste that was supposed to be the best

Bought that expensive ceramic thermal paste everyone hypes up for my PS4 slim, and it actually made temps worse by 3 degrees. Had to redo the whole job with the cheap stuff I had before. Anyone else fall for thermal paste marketing hype?

You ever notice how the "best" version of anything is usually just a way to get you to spend more money... I fell for that with fancy olive oil once, turns out the cheap stuff works just as fine for cooking.

Did you actually try them side by side or just figure it didn't matter after the fact?
