Burned through two pressure gauges before I caught the real problem
My old Gaggia started reading 6 bars on the gauge but pulling shots like it was 3, so I swapped the gauge for $15 and nothing changed. Turned out the OPV spring had gotten weak over 4 years of daily use, not the gauge at all. Anyone else waste time chasing a symptom instead of the actual fix?

Yeah, I've fixed plenty of harmless parts before finding the one that actually broke.

Honestly I read that cars with a ton of sensors can make this worse because you start second guessing every little thing. They had a whole thing on a podcast I listened to about how modern cars throw more false flags than actual problems. It's like the computer loves to make you waste time on stuff that's totally fine.
