Broke my back carrying lumber until I tried this cart trick

I was hauling 12 foot 2x4s from the truck to the garage one at a time for a shelf project and my shoulders were screaming after the first 10. Then my neighbor Bob from across the street came over and showed me how to strap a dolly to the side of a flat cart so the boards don't flop around. Cut my time from 45 minutes to 12 minutes flat. Has anyone else got a weird material moving hack that actually worked?

Twelve minutes flat from 45? That's insane.

Totally agree with @ninab95, that whole "trick that makes you feel dumb" thing applies to so much in life once you start paying attention.

My neighbor Bob sounds like a hero, honestly. That 33-minute time difference is the kind of thing I've noticed everywhere once you start looking, @the_olivia - it's like how I finally realized that putting all my tools back in their exact spot after using them saves me twenty minutes of hunting around later. It's just that one little trick that changes your whole workflow, almost like a secret code you weren't in on before. The best hacks are always the simple ones that make you feel kind of dumb for not thinking of them yourself, you know?
