DAE paint their cabinets and then realize they should have just bought new ones?
I spent a whole weekend sanding and priming my kitchen cabinets with that Rust-Oleum kit. After 2 coats they still look kinda tacky and bumpy, and I'm wondering if a $200 set from IKEA would have been less of a headache. Has anyone else regretted a cabinet redo this bad?

Isn't it funny how DIY projects always seem like they'll save money and time until you're three weekends in and realizing your labor is worth way more than you thought? It's like that whole "measure twice, cut once" idea actually applies to everything in life (which I keep learning the hard way).

Took me three tries with the liquid deglosser before I figured out I was putting it on too thick. A light sanding between coats with 220 grit fixed the bumpy feel for me. Those self-leveling mini rollers from Wooster made a huge difference too. What grit paper did you use?
