Found out the hard way why you shouldn't paint trim with wall paint
I painted my living room baseboards last weekend with the same flat paint I used on the walls. Looked fine at first but after 2 days it's already scuffed up from just walking past them. My buddy who does renovations told me trim paint needs to be semi-gloss or gloss because it's way harder and you can actually wipe it clean. I guess flat wall paint is too soft for stuff that gets bumped and touched all the time. Has anyone else made this mistake or found a cheap trim paint that holds up okay?

Semi-gloss is the way to go, but water-based dries faster and smells way less.

Is it just me noticing everything's moving faster these days but like only on the surface? You can get the paint dry quick but the real work of prep and patience still takes the same amount of time. Kinda feels like life's doing that too with shortcuts everywhere but the fundamentals never change.
