My old pressure washer stats shocked me

I was looking up replacement parts for my 8 year old electric pressure washer and stumbled on a fact from Consumer Reports that said the average home owner only uses their pressure washer for 30 minutes total per year. That blew my mind because I used mine for like 4 hours just last weekend cleaning the driveway and patio furniture. Has anyone else found a small home tool that gets way more use than the averages suggest?

Bet you anything those stats are skewed by all the people who buy a pressure washer and never use it or use it once. I'd wager the people who actually use theirs regularly are way more than the survey suggests, just like people who actually use their leaf blower more than twice a year.

Totally agree with you @matthewp52 on that. Those numbers always get dragged down by folks who buy a tool and let it collect dust in the garage. The regular users are definitely a much bigger bunch than the surveys give them credit for.
