Pro tip: I used to cut drywall with a utility knife and a straight edge, but now I always use a rotary tool.

I was doing a basement project in my old house in Spokane and the dust was just awful... it got everywhere. I switched to a Dremel 3000 about two years ago and it's way cleaner and the cuts are more precise. Anyone have a different method they prefer for small jobs?

Campbell.logan's right about the noise, but my ears can take it.

Oh sure, let's trade a little dust for the high-pitched scream of a Dremel that'll make your dog hide for a week. At least the dust settles. That noise is a permanent feature in your nightmares.
