Ripped a chunk out of my drywall using a plastic toggle bolt anchor
I used those cheap plastic toggle anchors to hang a heavy mirror in my hallway and the whole thing pulled out after 3 days, taking a golf ball sized piece of wall with it. Stick with metal toggle bolts if you're hanging anything heavier than a picture frame, has anyone else had these plastic ones fail on them?

I watched a handyman on YouTube say plastic toggles are garbage for anything heavy.

...and that's exactly what happened to me with a plastic toggle on a bathroom cabinet. But I gotta ask - did you make sure to use the correct size pilot hole? Because I've seen SO many people just jam these things into whatever drywall and expect them to hold. The paper instruction says to use a 1/2 inch drill bit but most people grab whatever's closest. ALSO, were you hanging that mirror on a wall that might have had old paint or wallpaper? Because the toggle needs to bite into clean drywall, not a layer of peelable paint. I swear half the time these things fail it's user error, not the hardware itself.
