Two dollar paint roller cleaner paid for itself in one afternoon

I've been painting interior walls for years and always dreaded cleanup. Soaking rollers in mineral spirits, fighting with the spinny thing that flings paint everywhere, the whole mess. Last month I grabbed a cheap plastic roller cleaner from the hardware store for like $2.50, the kind that attaches to your garden hose. Figured it would be garbage. Nope. That thing stripped latex paint out of a roller in about 20 seconds. I've got a couple of stubborn 9 inch rollers that I would've tossed after one use. Not anymore. It's just a plastic tube with a spray head and a little catch basin, but it works way better than the $30 fancy one my buddy swears by. My question is, has anyone else found a dirt cheap tool that beat the expensive version? I need to know what other $5 finds are out there before I drop real money on the next project.
