Visited the ReStore in Portland and changed my mind about used tile
Always thought secondhand tile was a waste of time. But they had 400 square feet of slate for 90 cents each. Picked up enough for my mudroom floor, saved around $300 easy. Anyone else find hidden gems at those places?

Ha, I bought mismatched tile once thinking I could make it work. It did not.

Oh man, what were you thinking? I tried the same thing with leftover tiles from two different bathroom remodels, ended up with a kitchen floor that looks like a checkerboard designed by someone half blind.
