I finally made a working hot dog costume for my corgi out of an old pool noodle and felt

After 4 failed attempts (the bun kept falling apart, you know how it is), I figured out the trick. I cut the pool noodle in half lengthwise to make the bun, then wrapped it in tan felt and hot glued it to a cheap harness. The ketchup is just red felt strips. My dog actually walked around for a whole 10 minutes before trying to eat the costume. Best $6 I ever spent at the dollar store. Has anyone else tried using pool noodles for pet costumes? Got any other shapes that worked?

Hang on, your corgi walked around in a hot dog costume for a full ten minutes without trying to eat it? That has to be some kind of world record.

@amy692 bet you could train that out of them though. My corgi used to try to eat anything that looked food related too but I just gave him a quick firm "no" and distracted him with a toy every time he went for the costume. After like three days he stopped caring about it completely and just wore the thing like a champ.
