Just learned my cat's costume needs a break every 20 minutes or she gets stressed
I was reading a blog post from the ASPCA last night about pet stress signals and found out animals can only tolerate wearing costumes for about 15-20 minutes before it starts bothering them. I had been leaving my cat Luna in her little hot dog outfit for like an hour during Halloween parties. Has anyone else noticed their pet getting cranky after wearing a costume too long?

Oh, come on. I think people overthink this stuff a bit. My dog wears a little sweater for hours in the winter and he's just fine. If your cat is clearly upset, sure, take the costume off. But I doubt 20 minutes is some magic number.
