My cat turned into a hot dog with a pool noodle trick

I was trying to make a simple hot dog costume for my tabby for Halloween but couldn't get the bun to stay on without sewing. Then I cut a pool noodle in half lengthwise and taped it around her like a bun with felt stripes. Has anyone else used pool noodles as a base for pet costumes?

Is taping a pool noodle to your cat really a better idea than just buying a costume?

Taped a pool noodle to my cat once for a photo and honestly it lasted about 30 seconds before she freaked out and rolled around trying to get it off. Costume was way easier for @gavine41 because you just put it on and they usually settle down after a minute. Pool noodle trick works better for dogs that don't mind stuff on them. I learned that lesson the hard way when my cat bolted under the couch and the noodle got stuck on a spring.
