My hot glue gun was actually melting the fabric the whole time
Last Halloween I made my corgi a hot dog costume and it looked all weird and stiff. Took me 3 tries before my friend laughed and said I was using the wrong temp setting on my glue gun. I had it cranked to high and it was melting the felt instead of just sticking it together. Has anyone else made a mess with high temp glue on those cheap Walmart fabrics?

Yeah "full blast" is killer on that cheap felt every time.

Oh man, I did the exact same thing with a shark costume for my kid. Grabbed a cheap felt set from the craft store and just assumed all glue guns were the same. Had the gun on full blast and it melted right through the gray fabric, left these nasty shiny burn spots that looked like plastic. Took forever to scrape the melted mess off my table too. Low temp setting is a game changer once you figure that out.
