Why does nobody talk about foam sheets melting on hot glue guns

I spent $15 on a pack of craft foam at Michael's last week and ruined two hours of work because the glue melted right through the foam and stuck to my dog's harness, anyone else had this happen with a specific brand?

You try the dollar store foam? That stuff holds up way better with glue.

Low temp glue gun would probably fix this but you're acting like it's a total tragedy. Two hours of work and $15 is not the end of the world. Dab the glue on slower and let it cool a second before pressing down. Craft foam melts if you get too aggressive with the heat.
