Hit 50 sealed terrariums this weekend, changed my whole build approach
I hit 50 sealed terrariums this weekend counting the little 4oz jars I started doing last fall, and at first I was just proud of the number. But then I looked back at my first 10 builds and realized I was overwatering them like crazy because I thought the moss looked better soaking wet. What made you finally adjust your moisture balancing act, or did you just get lucky with your first few?

Counting the 4oz jars is a bit of a cheat though, those little guys barely count as full builds. Not saying they don't have their own thing going on, but 50 real terrariums hits different than 50 when half are tiny starter jars. That said, your point about overwatering the first 10 is so real. My first few closed builds were basically swamps and the moss rotted from the bottom up while the top looked fine, which fooled me for weeks. That bottom-up rot is what finally made me stop soaking everything.
