Ngl, when family calls my terrarium a 'glass box of weeds', it stings. Some say ignore them, others say educate them. Where do you stand?

It's less about weeds and more about building a tiny, balanced world... which takes a real patience most folks don't see. That hidden skill is the cool part, like how parker_bailey's friend probably understands old radios in a way we never will. They're judging the surface without getting what it actually takes to keep it all alive.

Yeah, that "hidden skill" part @alex_murphy41 mentioned is key, it's like learning a quiet language only the thing itself can teach you.

Ever get that with other hobbies? My buddy collects old radios, people ask why he bothers. It's his thing. Makes him happy. Sounds like your terrarium is the same deal.
