Read a warning about springtail die-offs in sealed terrariums
I was reading a care sheet from a shop in Portland last night and it said springtail colonies can crash in a fully sealed jar if you dont open it for air exchange at least once a month. That hit me cause my last closed build from 4 months ago just went cloudy and smelly, no springtails left. I always thought sealed meant never touch it, but apparently CO2 buildup cooks the cleanup crew. Anyone else open their closed terrariums on a schedule?
