Talked to a plant shop owner about my closed terrarium mold issue and he said I just had too much moisture
He told me to stop misting every day and just seal it up for two weeks without touching it, and now the mold is gone and my ferns actually look better than before, has anyone else been overwatering their closed builds this whole time?

That "too much moisture" thing is spot on. My buddy Jon killed two closed terrariums before he figured out he was basically drowning his plants by misting every day, and now his new one has been sealed for a month with no issues.

The condensation buildup angle is interesting too. Most people don't realize you can wipe the glass down and that actually helps regulate the water cycle inside. Jon probably never thought about how much water was just sitting on the leaves and glass surface instead of soaking into the soil. Its counterintuitive but sometimes you gotta open it up and let it breathe for ten minutes if the fog gets too thick.
