Wasted $40 on a fancy mister that broke in 2 weeks, now I just use a spray bottle from the dollar store
Figured I'd treat myself to one of those glass mister bottles with the brass nozzle for my moss terrarium and it rusted out almost immediately, has anyone else had better luck with just the cheap plastic ones?

Used to be one of those people who thought you had to spend real money on a good mister. Bought a fancy copper one from a plant shop, looked beautiful on my shelf, and the nozzle clogged within a week. Switched to a basic dollar store spray bottle after that and honestly it's been going strong for over a year now. The cheap plastic ones just don't have the same issues with rust or mineral buildup. Kinda feels like the expensive ones are designed to look nice rather than actually work.

$2 for a three pack of those basic spray bottles at the grocery store, and I've got one in the kitchen, one by my plants, and one in the truck just in case. They don't look fancy but they do the job, and when they finally break after a couple years you're out pocket change instead of a nice dinner. Hate that we get tricked into thinking expensive means better when sometimes plastic just works.

My brother bought that same fancy copper mister and it looked great on his counter for about a week before the handle started leaking on him. Now he's back to using the cheap green one from the hardware store that's been going for three years without a problem. Sometimes I wonder if we're just paying extra for something to look good on Instagram instead of actually work.
