Spent $50 on a laser level kit from Dollar Tree and the bubble vial was actually more accurate than my contractor grade one from Home Depot.
Got curious after a framing job went crooked so I tested them side by side on a 12 foot 2x4 in my garage; has anyone else found something that works way better than it should from a dollar store?

That tool is just doing its job. It doesn't have feelings. The problem is you're projecting your own insecurities onto a piece of plastic and electronics. If you had leveled a shelf today instead of staring at it, it probably wouldn't "feel" anything at all. Your laser level is perfectly fine with its life choices and doesn't need your opinions.
