Tried to make a glue gun flower pot and melted a hole straight through my kitchen table
Was in the middle of my dollar store craft marathon at 11pm when I pressed too hard and the hot glue dripped right through the styrofoam onto the table. Now I've got a permanent reminder of why you should always use a cutting board even for cheap projects. Anybody else ruin furniture trying to save two bucks on supplies?

Ah man that sucks, I feel your pain. I melted a hole in my favorite sweatshirt trying to make a glue gun snowflake once, lol.

Those dollar store glue guns really do get hotter than you expect, don't they? I actually ruined a nice wooden cutting board that way a few years back. @reese_perry6, I think you might have the wrong idea about glue gun snowflakes though - those usually use a silicone mat or wax paper, not fabric. A sweatshirt would definitely melt just like my table did. It is a good lesson that even the cheap tools can cause expensive damage if you are not careful.
