Why does nobody talk about how Dollar Store super glue has actually gotten worse over time?

I picked up a 4-pack of the Loctite knockoff at Dollar Tree last week and the tubes were half dried out. Looked up the manufacturing date code and found out they've been sitting on shelves for 14 months. Nobody talks about how dollar store inventory just sits there forever. The glue costs more in wasted time than it saves. Has anyone else noticed their dollar store adhesives failing sooner lately?

Oh man don't even get me started on that stuff. I bought a tube from Dollar Tree last month and it was basically just dried up crust with a little bit of liquid on top. I squeezed the thing for like five minutes and got maybe two drops out before the whole tube exploded on my fingers. Honestly at this point I'm better off just using regular Elmer's glue and waiting an hour for it to dry. Idk why they even bother selling adhesives that are already expired before you buy them.

My buddy Dave bought a 2-pack of that dollar store super glue to fix a broken coffee mug handle. He squeezed the tube and got a glob of crusty yellow gunk that wouldn't even stick to the ceramic, let alone hold the handle. It was like trying to glue something with stale toothpaste. @camerona79 you're totally right about the exploding tube thing, Dave had that exact mess happen to him and spent 20 minutes picking dried glue flakes off his fingers after.
