I sent over a CAD file for a commercial build and the plumber called back confused because my pipe layers were set to red instead of green. Now I keep a cheat sheet for layer standards by trade. What's your go-to method for keeping layer colors consistent across projects?

Seriously, @ryan_taylor, the hidden win is data integrity. Like, my old team's reports were a mess because everyone built their own structure. A client name could end up in "customer," "client," or even "company" field. With a locked template, that data lands in the same spot every single time. It stops those tiny errors that make merging files or pulling stats a total nightmare later on. That consistency is a lifesaver.
