Appreciation post: Just landed my 50th drafting project this month

I've been freelancing as a drafter for about 4 years now, and I never thought I'd hit 50 projects in a single month. Most of my work comes from small home builders in the Dallas area who need simple floor plans and elevation drawings. This month just kept piling up with requests from repeat clients. Seeing that number in my tracking spreadsheet made me realize my reputation is finally paying off. Has anyone else noticed a random spike in workload like this?

I had a buddy who did freelance CAD work and he went from 10 projects a month to 45 out of nowhere after a big housing development started up near him. He said it was like someone flipped a switch and he barely slept for six weeks.

Oh man I've been there too! When I was freelancing a few years back I set up a simple template library and a scheduling system that let me batch similar tasks together which honestly saved my sanity.
