Dimension lines crashing into hatches is driving me nuts

I'm working on a set of foundation plans for a job out in Tulsa and every time I add a hatch to a concrete section it overlaps my dimension lines. It takes me an extra 20 minutes per sheet to go back and manually adjust them. How are you guys handling this in your CAD setup? Do you just put dims on a separate layer and freeze hatches while dimensioning?

That "manually adjust them" part is what gets me too... honestly I just set my dim style to use a background mask with a small gap and it solves most of the overlap without any layer freezing. It takes maybe a minute to tweak the style settings and then you never have to touch it again.

Lucas, I gotta call this out. That background mask trick just hides the problem instead of fixing it. You're basically telling the printer to print over a black hole and hoping it figures out the gap. I've seen masks cause more issues than they solve, especially when you have complex geometry or supports that need to be accurate. And "never have to touch it again"? Yeah right until you swap resins or change layer heights and the whole thing breaks. If you're spending time tweaking styles for each print, you might as well just manually adjust the supports where they actually overlap. It's not that much work and you get way better results. Why settle for a bandaid when you can just do it right?
