Got a 3D printer to speed up my drafting templates and ended up with a 50-part puzzle instead
I figured I'd save time making custom architectural scale details by printing templates for a tricky curved staircase last month. Set it to run overnight, but the printer jammed halfway through and spit out this nightmare of disconnected pieces that took me 4 hours to sort. Ended up gluing like 30 tiny parts together with superglue and it still broke after one test fit. Anyone else have a tool that just made their drafting job harder instead of easier?

Try leveling the bed first, that jam sounds like a z-height issue, lol.

Sorting those 30 tiny parts on the kitchen table sounds like my experience with a laser cutter that decided to char every edge of a window detail. I spent half a Sunday sanding down sooty corners just to get a clean fit. Technology that promises speed but delivers a puzzle is about right for this field.
