Hot take: detail placement matters more than line weight for prints

I was drawing a fire escape plan at a job site in Denver back in June and spent 45 minutes fixing my line weights, then a senior drafter walked by and pointed out my door swing arcs were off by 3/16 inch. Has anyone else had a moment where the small stuff wrecked a whole submission?

I mean, "detail placement" and "line weight" are kind of separate things, so I'm not sure one really matters more than the other for prints. Line weight is a detail too, right?

Yeah, line weight is definitely a piece of the detail puzzle, not a totally separate thing. I'd say they're connected, but detail placement hits harder on final prints because a misplaced dimension or annotation can ruin the whole layout. Ever had a submission bounce back over something small like that?
