PSA: Don't waste $180 on that digital angle finder for framing

I blew $180 on a hyped digital angle finder thinking it would speed up my rafter cuts, but it slipped calibration after 3 uses and threw off a whole roof section. Anyone else had luck with just a good old Speed Square and bevel gauge instead?

Did you try recalibrating it yourself or did you just toss it after that? I've heard those digital ones are picky about temperature changes and drops.

$180 for something that can't hold calibration through a few cuts is rough. My old Speed Square never let me down like that.
