That drafting table at the Seattle office really messed up my back

I spent 3 days hunched over this old slanted table at our satellite office in Seattle, and by the end of it I could barely stand up straight. Turns out the angle was way off for what I was doing, and my neck was cranked at a weird position the whole time. Has anyone else switched to a fully adjustable drafting chair or a sit-stand setup for those temporary workstations?

Jump right into how this kind of thing is everywhere now. I swear, every temporary workstation in every office I've been to feels like it was designed by someone who's never actually sat at one. It's like the people in charge buy the cheapest stuff without thinking about how people are actually shaped or how their bodies work. Office furniture companies must love it because you end up buying your own little add-ons like a footrest or a cushion just to get through a few days. It's a total racket lol.

Oh come on, is it really that bad? I mean yeah the chairs are kinda basic and the desks are always at that weird height where your elbows don't line up right. But I've sat in way worse places like airport lounges and college lecture halls. People bring their own cushions and stuff anyway. Feels like one of those things where if you look for problems you'll find them everywhere but most folks just sit down and get their work done. I dunno, maybe I'm just not that picky about it.
