Tried a new layering method on a 3D model in Bellevue and it totally messed up my mesh

I was working on a commercial floor plan in AutoCAD last Wednesday and decided to try grouping layers differently to save time, but it ended up scrambling all my dimension lines. Do you stick with the old way you learned or adapt when a new trick goes sideways?

So you just gotta roll with the punches when new methods backfire. I tried grouping my dimension layers by color code in AutoCAD once and ended up with overlapping reference lines that took me an hour to untangle. Usually I stick with the old layer naming system that's worked for years, but sometimes you gotta just accept the loss and go back to what's reliable. The new tricks aren't always worth the headache unless you test them on a practice file first, which I definitely skipped that time.

I mean is it really that deep though? Like yeah it's annoying but it's not like the building is gonna fall down over some messed up dimension lines. Just undo and go back to the old way, no biggie.
