Vent: Took me 3 hours to fix a 2 inch offset in a floor plan

I had this tiny misalignment where two walls didn't meet right, and I kept dragging things around trying to fix it in CAD. Turned out it was a locked reference layer from 6 months ago that I forgot about. Has anyone else wasted a whole afternoon on something that small?

Double down on what lucas498 said. A 2 inch offset is not small. That's the difference between a wall landing on a joist or floating in midair. I had a similar thing happen on a commercial job where a 1.5 inch shift made the whole bathroom layout not fit. The tile, the toilet flange, everything was off. We had to chip out concrete and move pipes. All because someone locked a layer I didn't check. So yeah, 3 hours is actually pretty fast for fixing something that size. You got off easy.

Oh man, the dreaded locked layer ghost. That's brutal, I've totally been there. Though I gotta gently push back on the "tiny" part - 2 inches in a floor plan is actually a pretty huge gap, that's basically a whole stud width off. If it was like a quarter inch that'd be one thing, but 2 inches is the kind of thing that messes up your entire wall layout and maybe even the framing schedule.
