Just tried a different cutterhead angle on the Tiger 600 and got way more fines than usual
I run a 12-inch dredge down in Port Arthur and last week I shifted the cutterhead angle from the standard 15 degrees to 10 to see if it would cut faster in that thick clay. Instead it kicked up a ton of silt that clogged my screen deck for three hours straight. Has anyone else messed with angle settings and run into a surprise like this?

Did you have water pressure up enough to handle that shift?

Tbh I think that silt issue might be more about the clay breaking apart than the angle itself. I've run a similar setup and found it's usually the water pressure that keeps fines from settling, not the cutterhead angle.
