PSA: A foreman told me I was running the swing too fast and it changed my whole shift
He said I was tossing muck back into the cut instead of clearing it. I slowed the swing speed down by 30% and the barge filled up way cleaner without all that rework. Anybody else get stuck in a rhythm that just seems efficient but really isn't?

30% slower swing speed? That's a massive adjustment, I wouldn't think that small of a change could make that big of a difference on a barge. I've definitely been guilty of just running everything full speed and making more work for myself clearing muck later. Might have to try dialing it back and see if my cut looks cleaner too.
