TIL a cheap fix for a sticky winch control on my old dredge
My winch lever was getting stiff and I had to pick between taking the whole valve apart or trying a quick spray. I grabbed a can of PB Blaster and gave the linkage two good shots, let it sit for ten minutes, then worked the lever back and forth. It freed up completely and saved me a half day of downtime. Anyone know a better long term grease for those pivot points?

PB Blaster's great for freeing things up (but it's not really a grease).

Yeah, @andrew916, I used it on an old bike chain once and the smell stuck around for weeks.
