Vent: Everyone says to run the cutterhead slow in rocky ground, but that's what cost me a week in Duluth.

We were on a harbor job and I kept the revs low like the book says, but the whole thing just packed solid with clay and granite chips. Had to shut down for three days to pull and clear the suction line twice. Anyone else found that a faster spin actually keeps things moving better in that kind of mix?

Totally feel you on that. Had the same thing happen on a job outside Spokane, packed up solid like concrete. Bumped the rpm up a bit after that and it just carried the junk right out.

Bet the fuel mix matters too, @caseys52.

Yeah @james_martin93, sometimes that extra speed is all it takes to clear things out for good.
