Bought a cheap dehydrator and it beat my oven method
I used to dry flowers in my oven on the lowest setting, but it always made the petals too brittle. Last month I got a $30 food dehydrator from a garage sale and tried drying a batch of lavender. It took about 4 hours on the herb setting and the color stayed way better than my oven tries. Has anyone else switched from oven drying to a dehydrator for flowers?

Yeah it's funny how often the cheap specialty tool beats the expensive all-in-one method. Once you give a device one job to do it usually does it better than something trying to be everything. That's like how a basic toaster makes better toast than the broil setting on your oven every single time.
