My aunt told me my dried bouquets looked like dead weeds from a ditch

She was blunt about it at first but she was right I was just hanging them upside down and hoping for the best. Now I spray everything with a light coat of hairspray and hang them in the dark bathroom for 10 days and they keep their color way better. Anyone else get harsh feedback that actually helped?

Question if you're really that worried about some dried plants though.

Right, because I'm totally losing sleep over my basil plant going brown. I'm a walking disaster with anything green and growing. My friends call me a plant murderer and it's only half a joke. I managed to kill a cactus once, a cactus, and I'm pretty sure that takes actual effort. So yeah, maybe I'm a little too invested in keeping some dried plants alive. It's a cheap hobby and the only thing I've got going for me as a gardener.
