My eucalyptus wreath looked awful for 2 months until I flipped it upside down

I was about to toss a dried eucalyptus wreath from last fall because the bottom branches were all droopy and sad. Then a florist at the farmer's market said to hang it with the stems pointing up for a week, and now the whole thing looks full again. Has anyone else fixed a bad shape by just re-hanging it differently?

3 years hanging a wreath wrong and I never thought to just flip it.
